Cycling strength workouts

On the bike cycling strength intervals were popularized by Italian coach Aldo Sassi when working to prepare Francesco Moser for his attempt on the World Hour Record in 1983. Salite Forza Resistenza workouts - climbing strength resistance intervals or SFRs - involve medium length intervals between two and five minutes in length climbing a moderate grade in a large gear at low pedal cadences. Typical target cadences are between 40 and 60 rpm. The effort level for SFRs is aerobic, unlike standard medium length power intervals. SFRs played a role in helping Francesco Moser best the decade-old record set by the legendary Eddy Merckx.

World Champ Tech is proud to introduce a new feature in the Bike+ app to configure the artificial intelligence coaching to provide appropriate guidance depending on the target interval cadence range. When users configure an interval workout for medium intervals, if they have set the app to connect to Bluetooth cadence and power sensors, users are prompted to select either power or strength cadence coaching. With the strength option selected, the target cadence range in lowered from 80 - 100 rpm to 40 - 60 rpm, and the power target ranges are adjusted to an appropriate aerobic (sub-threshold) range.

The Bike+ app provides the option to adjust the AI-driven cadence coaching for low cadence strength intervals
